First words that come into mind when I first smelled this fragrance were attractive. Sophisticated and mysterious, this fragrance is the perfect choice for this cold winter season as combines the freshly cut grass, green citrus leaves and spices. This fragrance is spicy yet has high floral notes of strong ginger and green pepper. The base notes include sandalwood and transparent musk. This fragrance was created in 2006 but I can bet you a lot of cash it still drives the opposite sex crazy.

the IT item for this winter

Dressing up denim jeans.

Dressing up denim

Dressing up a pair of denim jeans for an evening or a smart casual/formal occasion can be problematic; it’s also very tricky but fear not because you are not alone. We all love our jeans and sometimes it gets very difficult when dressing up your jeans. Gents follow these few basic steps and you shall never go wrong.

1. Firstly keep your jeans dark blue (indigo in the fashion world) or a not too lite shade. AVOID worn out, torn and distressed jeans with paints, overdone pockets.

2. THE FIT- Avoid baggy jeans do get the right fitted waist fit and make sure the length reaches just below the heel. Keep the fit regular, slim fit or skinny, by this I don’t mean those second skin fit jeans that cramp up your manhood.

3. Keep your shirt either blue, pale colours work very well or be brave try a very loud floral high collared shirt if you’re not the conservative type. Do avoid a high collared shirt if your neck is too short. You will never go wrong with a traditional white button down shirt. PLEASE tuck it in.

4. Keep your belt black or plaited brown or even grey depending on the colour of the shirt. Slim fit jeans with a skinny belt regular/straight fit jeans with a wider belt, simple as that.

5. Ties-Dark ties in navy, polka dotted, or striped are perfect. You are allowed to accessorise it with a gold bar. Try a pocket square for a more formal uber-chick occasion. You can either fold it in the straight fold, one corner fold, or a puff fold. Whatever you do make sure your pocket square compliments you tie, but white is the safest.

6. Jacket-The classic blazer will never go out of style….yes I said it will not. Every self respecting man should own a navy blue blazer (even Tom Ford and our own Olebogeng Ledimo of house of ole agrees). You can go for a brown or charcoal or even grey 2 or 3 button jackets. AVOID candy striped colours and patterns. Again the colour scheme should not be far off from the tie, the shirt and pocket square.

7. Shoes-Here you have the option of going for a traditional brown, grey or a black lace up or even a slip on (loafer). You can always go for a patent shoe you can never go wrong with a pair of wing tips (brogues) especially with slimmer jeans. DO NOT buy those metal pointed shoes as they will leave you looking like a lost foreign pimp.

Former YFM Dj Sibusiso Leope and his breakfast show team invaded the Johannesburg CBD. The loudmouthed and stylist radio jock hosted his last show at Bree street, next to Bree Taxi rank and his fans came in numbers to bid him farewell.

Bree street was brought to a standstill for 3 hours...one would really say that the man had done the unthinkable by throwing a Street Bash in the morning. This event marked the last of his farewell parties after two years with the youth radio station and his departure from the radio industry.

The first hour of the show was broadcast inside the ob-van while the dj were blazing fans with hot tracks to welcome them. It was in the second hour of the show when the Breakfast team came out to air their show on stage while Dj Shimza and Dj Tira were on decks doing their thing.

Walking off: Dj Tira after playing a great set.

Fans were treated to awesome performances from Hype award winner Khuli shana, who came first on stage to perfome his song ''Tswak Stick em'', came Big Nuzz with their hit track "Umlilo", followed by the veterans of Kwaito TKzee and the perfomance reached its peak when Slikour gave a killa perfomance with Kewtsa and Thembi Seete and her luscious dancers also did her thing on stage.

Durban's Finest: Mamphintji from Big Nuz

Sadly, the cops came in and stopped the morning Bash early before we could see the likes of Brikz, Pro,
F-EEZY,Lungelo and other artists to entertain the Y masses.

Dj Sbu's entourage and Kwaal clothing owner, Solly Vista was the MC and he did a great job, he kept the masses laughing and part of the breakfast show team. The whole event was secured and well organised with security provided the Johannesburg Metro Police Department(JMPD) and the entertainment was gallow.
